The Borough of Metuchen is switching our community notification service from CodeRed to Everbridge.

This is the same vendor that our Nixle alert system is run through. Everbridge provides a portal where residents can manage their emergency notifications and alert preferences. Users receive immediate notifications about local threats such as severe weather, road closures, and police activity. DPW information will also be shared such as when garbage days are rescheduled. It is easy to opt in or out of alerts and you have full control over what personal information is shared with the organization sending the alert. To sign up for alerts visit this link:

Hey Metuchen!" is a messaging service, directed to your smartphone, that will alert subscribers to announcements from the Mayor.

To register for this service, simply do the following:

1. Scan the QR code, or click this link with your phone.
2. The link will open your SMS or text app with a pre-populated message.
3. Send the pre-populated message, and receive a conformation text reply.
4. You are now subscribed to the service and will receive messages when they are sent out.
