We are a summer recreational program, offering a fun, supportive atmosphere for swimmers and divers ages 5 through 18. Due to the size of our team (We are very popular!), our team is divided into 3 swim teams and 1 dive team.

- Competitive Swim Teams: MMP offers two competitive swim teams grouped roughly on ability.
Swimmers are required to meet basic stroke requirements and will be placed onto a team based on ability and the coaches discretion. The two teams compete separately but practice together based on age groups.
- Pre-Team: The MMP pre-team is offered for swimmers age 12 & under. The program will be focused on stroke technique to help prepare swimmers for a more competitive swim experience. Pre‐team members will compete in several intramural meets and will also be eligible to compete at the Roycefield Sprints and the Brookside Mini Minnow Meet (9 & under).
- Dive Team: In order to participate on our Dive Team, divers must be able to swim 25 yards (one length of the pool) without stopping or needing assistance and be able to preform a forward dive off the diving board by June 13th. That’s it!
MMP competes in the New Jersey Swimming and Diving Conference. In order to try-out and be accepted for the MMP team all swimmers and divers must be Metuchen Municipal Pool Members. To learn more about our program, check out our website! Have a great 2011 season. Go MMP!
