Borough Hall will be closed for Presidents Day on Monday, 2/19/18. 
There will be no garbage or recycling pickup Monday. 
If your normal pickup day is Monday, 
garbage will be picked up on Tuesday.  
If your normal pickup day is Tuesday,
garbage will be picked up on Wednesday. 


The Mayor's open office hours this week
will be held on Thursday, February 15, 
10am to Noon at Borough Hall.
No appointment necessary.


Following a Borough engineer’s inspection on 1/30/18, safety deficiencies were discovered at the Graham Avenue “Kahn’s Crossing” pedestrian bridge over the Greenway.  As a result, the bridge is closed. 

Once all safety concerns are addressed, the Borough will reopen the bridge. Updates will be posted once more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Major construction will begin on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 8am until 4pm at the intersection of Central Ave and Plainfield 
Ave near St. Joseph HS.  Traffic will only
be allowed one way during this time.  Construction will last approximately

3 weeks.

Bear Safety Tips
DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife says you should report bear damage, nuisance behavior or aggressive bears to their Wildlife Control Unit at (908) 735-8793. During evenings and weekends, residents should call the local police department or the DEP Hotline at 877-WARN-DEP (877927-6337).
Middlesex County Residential Cooking Oil Program (pdf)
