The Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program to Hold a Grand Finale, Open to the Public
The public is invited to the Grand Finale of the Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program at the Metuchen Public Library (480 Middlesex Avenue) on Thursday July 28 from 2 pm until 4 pm.
Family Arts Festival July 30 (pdf)
Time: 1-4pm. Come one, come all! The Friends of the Metuchen Library is excited to hold a family arts festival and fundraiser for the Library Gallery. A number of outside activities are planned, including face painting, balloon animals, games and crafts. There will be a bake sale as well as a photo corner where you can have your picture taken. Various artists will also be on hand selling their works. Something for every member of the family!

6-MAN FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE LLC games will start in late September 2016 and will be played on Saturdays and some Thursday nights, players must be in grades 3 - 8th.
METUCHEN ROCKS 2016 (pdf)
There will be music on the street again when METUCHEN ROCKS!, Metuchen’s outdoor Summer Concerts Series, gets underway in August with a very exciting line up of some of the best bands, led by some of the best bands in New Jersey. The free concerts take place on Thursday nights in August at 7:30 p.m. on the Metuchen Summer Stage located on the corner of New and Center Streets in downtown Metuchen.
PSE&G Prepared for This Week’s Hot Weather (pdf)
With temperatures expected to be in the 90s this week, Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G), New Jersey’s largest utility, is monitoring weather conditions and has additional personnel on hand to handle any power interruptions as a result of the high temperatures.

Summer 2016 Book Friends (pdf)
Fridays, July 8, 15, 22, 29, 11am-Noon. Have fun, practice reading and listening skills. This summer 2016, your rising 1st or 2nd grader will be paired with a Big Book Friend (in grades 8-12) in a supervised setting, for hands-on activities and a craft. The older Book Friends have been trained to work with early readers.
Summer Programs for Teens at the Metuchen Public Library (pdf)
The YA Department offers free programs for Metuchen residents who are entering grades 6-12. Early Registration is in-person at the Library on Saturday, June 11 from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Regular registration continues after 12:30 PM.
