Friends Volunteers Group Grows in Service to Library.
Thanks to many active volunteers, Friends continue a long history of service to Metuchen Library. Friends collect donated books, sponsor library programs and publicity (Foreign Film Series), maintain the Juvenile Reading Club, provide for the Art Goes Public program, conduct book sales at the Library, and deliver books to homebound Metuchenites. Each year, Friends donate money derived from these activities to the Library. None of this work is possible without dedicated volunteers.
Friends dues are still only $5.00 a year for individuals and $10.00 for the family.
Please print and fill out the form. Write checks to the Friends of the Metuchen Library, and mail or take to the Library. In addition to annual dues, many people submit gifts to the Friends. The Metuchen Library is grateful for every gift, large and small and thanks you again for your interest and support.
Matching Funds: Many companies match employees’ contribution to organizations like The Friends. We are a non-profit entity and report annually to the NJ Dept. of the Treasury & Consumer Affairs as a charitable corporation. Please check to see if your firm has a matching plan. If so, please enclose the required forms with your membership application, and we will complete the documents and return them to the proper office at your place of employment.
