HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE

The Historical Preservation Committee was formed in January 2008 by Mayor Thomas Vahalla and is charged with exploring steps to strengthen Metuchen’s commitment to historic preservation.  The committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm)

In honor of National Preservation Month, the Borough’s Historic Preservation Committee is once again hosting a self-paced Scavenger Hunt during the month of May. The 10 elements to be identified in this year’s contest are all visible from street level along Main Street from the train station to Middlesex Avenue, and along Middlesex Avenue between Main Street and the Library.
