The 2011 Dog and Cat Licenses
can be purchased daily from
8am to 4pm, Monday through
Friday at Borough Hall. If license renewals
are purchased after February 28th,
a $5.00 late fee will be charged. If
you need an application form to
register your pet(s), please notify the Health Department.
Because of the current rabies
epidemic, the state is
recommending that all animals be
inoculated every two years for
rabies. Thus, they have changed
the law regarding the issuing of pet
licenses.
Proof of Dog/Cat current rabies shot must accompany application and proof of altering, if applicable. If your pet's rabies shot date expires before November 30, 2011, the pet HAS to be re-vaccinated before a license can be issued. (Please speak to your Veterinarian regarding this issue). A copy of the vaccination certificate must be submitted with the license application.
